<br />City Council Minutes from July 24, 1996 <br /> <br />Helmbrecht asked about the assessment rate. Ms. Drude stated the bond payment and <br />term does not take assessment payments into consideration, it is determined by existing <br />debts. <br /> <br />Ms. Drude explained the resolution regarding awarding the sale of the bond and she <br />mentioned that it does have a call feature at the year 2004. <br /> <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, second by Brenner to pass Resolution 96-27, a resolution <br />awarding the sale of $410,000 general obligation water revenue bonds to Juran and <br />Moody, Inc., St. Paul, Minnesota. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPEARANCE - Mary Capra: Centerville Wall of Fame <br /> <br />Ms. Capra explained that the concept for lifetime achievement awards originated with the <br />Economic Development Committee. It was felt that citizens who had dedicated years of <br />their lives to community service and involvement should be honored. This award would <br />be presented to present and past residents of the community who have spent a great deal <br />of their lives dedicated to community service through, city government or committees, <br />involvement in fire department, schools, charity work, etc. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />The nomination of this award would be left to the residents. It was suggested that the <br />award be presented during the Fete des Lacs festival. This person would receive a <br />certificate oflifetime achievement. It was hoped that photos and stories would be kept on <br />display in the council chambers of those who have received the award. <br /> <br />Ms. Capra stated that funding could come from donations for the historical society given <br />in the past and future donation would also be used to fund the project. <br /> <br />Ms. Capra provided the council with a copy of a historical society survey that was done <br />on the public works building. <br /> <br />The council thanked Ms. Capra and stated that it would be on a future agenda for the <br />council to discuss. <br /> <br />Acorn Creek Pay Estimate #8for Class 5 Work <br /> <br />MOTION by Helmbrecht, second by Brenner to approve the partial pay estimate number 8 <br />for the Acorn Creek project in the amount of $2, 102 as per MSA's letter dated July 22, <br />1996. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Eagle Pass <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Helmbrecht requested the ordinance for PUD's be checked regarding the developer being <br />responsible for development of the park within the project. <br /> <br />CC7-24MM.WPS <br /> <br />3 <br />
