<br />- <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, second by Helmbrecht to direct staff to obtain appraisals for <br />watermain project to include a residential, commercial and apartment parcel. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, second by Helmbrecht to order street and utility improvement <br />public hearing for July 24, 1996 for Clearwater Meadows. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION by Wilharber, second by Buckbee to authorize the city staff to work with Ehlers <br />to solicit proposals for the sale of$410,000 G.O. General Obligation water revenue bonds <br />and report the results to the City Council at the July 24, 1996, meeting. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Flood Plain <br /> <br />Dave stated a narrow corridor has been created along the creek. This area does not allow <br />fill within a certain distance to allow for future building. Information requested does not <br />change the elevations any it is just additional technical information. <br /> <br />Livable Communities Act <br /> <br />MOTION by Brenner, second by Powers-Rasmussen to adopt resolution 96-24, a <br />resolution adopting housing action plan for the City of Centerville. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Sewer Problem <br /> <br />Paul brought up the issue of the sewer backing up and the problem appears to be under <br />the street. The situation is at Peltier Lake Drive and Mill Road. Greg stated to Paul that <br />if it is within the city's right-of-way the city could be held liable. The homeowner had <br />some root service work done, this may have caused some damage. The line was televised. <br /> <br />MOTION by Wilharber, second by Helmbrecht to contract to have line opened up and <br />notify A-I Services as of the work being conducted. The cost of the work to come from <br />the sewer fund if A-I Services does not appear to be at fault. Motion carried, Powers- <br />Rasmussen voted nay. <br /> <br />Paul also brought attention to another problem of 4 homes off of 73rd. They are having <br />problems with a drop in the lateral line. Paul requested the lines on 73rd be televised. <br /> <br />MOTION by Wilharber, second by Brenner to approve the sewer lines for the 8 or 9 <br />homes on 73rd (between Peterson and Quebec) be televised. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Pay Estimate Water Project <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Discussion on whether the school will be pre-paying a portion of the assessment roll prior <br />to its adoption. <br /> <br />CC6-26MM.WPS <br /> <br />4 <br />
