<br />~ <br /> <br />Mr. March explained Gerald Rehbein brought in a sketch plan for a property located of 20th <br />Avenue. Mr. Rehbein is proposing a lot split to provide property to some small business', one <br />being Casanova, Inc. Mr. Nyberg explained it would be a benefit for the City, if Gerald would <br />petition the city to do a feasibility study to run water to this property. Also, if Gerald petitions the <br />city, Carpenters and REEL Manufacturing may not be able to be assessed the full amount based <br />on front footage or square footage. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Brenner, seconded by Councilmember Helmbrecht to approve Mr. <br />Nyberg to do a cost estimate for the different options available on Peltier Lake Drive, i.e. the road <br />redone with sidewalks or without sidewalks. And the cost estimates not to exceed $1,000. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan Update- <br />Mr. Nyberg explained the only addition is to add well #3 in year 2001, and the interconnect has <br />been slated for 1997. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Brenner, seconded by Councilmember Helmbrecht to accept the <br />revised comprehensive plan and the capital expenditures. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Annual League Conference - <br />Mr. March asked, "Who was interested in attending the Annual League Conference?" <br />Councilmember Brenner said she will attend the whole conference. Councilmember Buckbee <br />wasn't sure. Councilmember Helmbrecht said no, she would not be attending. Councilmember <br />Powers-Rasmussen said yes, she planned to attend. Mayor Wilharber said he will be attending <br />the whole conference. <br />Senior Housing Update - <br />Councilmember Brenner reported the counter offer to the Barett's is $120,000 for the total <br />property including the house and out building. Mayor Wilharber suggested the Senior facility be <br />named after Chancy Barett and agreed with the pre-leasing of the units. <br /> <br />MOTION by Mayor Wilharber, seconded by Helmbrecht to approve the purchase agreement as <br />discussed and authorize the Attorney to prepare the document. Motion carried. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Brenner, seconded by Councilmember Helmbrecht to consider <br />moving construction up into the fall. Seniors interested in renting will deposit a $200 holder's <br />fee. Also, May 19, the city will host a Senior open house and maybe provide a bus tour to the <br />Willows facility in Ham Lake. Further, look at the pre-lease agreement on May 28, to see how <br />many interested seniors signed up.
