<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on <br />Wednesday, March 11, 1981 in the Centerville City Hall. <br />Mayor Savela called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />Present were: L'Allier, Laska, Murray, Wilharber, Attorney <br />Hawkins and City ~ngineer williams. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to accept the minutes <br />of the February 25, 1981 meeting, motion carried. <br /> <br />Police Chief Myhre appeared before council to discuss <br />public safety report and answer questions from the council <br />and audience. <br /> <br />P~TITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Problem with dogs barking and <br />running loose on city streets, "dips" on Shad Avenue- any <br />work to be done would be covered under Rehbein Estates <br />one-year maintenance bond, engineer to check on the <br />Rehbein ~states ponding area under development, contact <br />Husnick or Granger about their sign being down on the corner <br />of Peltier Lake Drive and Mill Road, engineer to check Mill <br />Road blacktop along the cemetery-comment that it is breaking <br />up and contact Mollenhoff about leak in city hall roof.. <br /> <br />Mr. Randy Schumacher, City Administrator from Lino Lakes <br />appeared before council concerning the 5-year fire contract <br />between Centerville and Lino Lakes. Several questions arose <br />including the administration cost of 10%, the capital outlay <br />figure and committee to be formed from Centerville/Lino Lakes <br />on fire department purchases. Consensus of council to <br />amend administrative cost percentage from 10% to 5% or in <br />formula: A = 0.05 C After considerable discussion, <br />motion by L~Allier, sJ~ond by Murray instructing clerk <br />to add the following amendment to the contract to read as <br />follows: <br />#1]: All capital outlay expenditures over $5,000. shall be <br />approved by joint committee consisting of two representatives <br />from Centerville, two representatives from Lino Lakes and <br />fifth party to be appointed by committee. The $5,000. limit <br />shall be increased 10% annually durin, the term of this <br />contract, motion carried. <br /> <br />The joint powers agreement between Lino Lakes and Centerville <br />was discussed. Clerk to send copy of agreement to our <br />insurance carrier for his opinion on # 5 concerning the <br />liability and worker's compensation insurance. Clerk to <br />report at future meeting. <br /> <br />Representative from Centerville on the Community Counseling <br />Program through the County and Lutheran Social Service was <br />discussed. Consensus of council to advise Miss Marten, <br />Counselor, that Carol Baumann and Glenn Carpenter, Jr., are <br />interested in being the Centerville representative and that <br />she should contact them and make the decision on designation <br />of representative herself. <br />
