<br />page two - City Council <br />meeting minutes <br />March 11, 1981 <br /> <br />Resolution on city street name changes on section maps of <br />Centerville was introduced. Motion by Laska, second by <br />Wilharber to adopt Resolution requesting the changes as <br />read, motion carried. Copy of Resolution is attached to <br />and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Clerk advised council Martin Asleson of 7232 Mill Road has <br />accepted the position of Tree Inspector for the City of <br />Centerville for year 1981, total cost for services set <br />at $1,100.00. <br /> <br />Matter of licensing sub-contractors was discussed, as <br />per City Ordinance #31. After considerable discussion, <br />motion by Laska, second by Wilharber, to leave Ordinance <br />#31 as is, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Jon Christiansen from Anoka County Health Department <br />appeared before council on subject of public waters/wetland <br />inventory for Anoka County. Mr. Christiansen ex~lained <br />that designated wetlands in the County must be 22 acres <br />or more in size. He referred to map of Anoka County showing <br />wetland areas and stated that the County is recommending <br />to the DNR that 1: The designation and mapping of public <br />waters and wetlands in Anoka County be done on individual <br />community (city or township) maps at a scale of at least <br />1:1000, or 1:500 where 1:1000 maps are not available; (2) <br />existing road right of ways be deleted from designations <br />and mapping; ()) the recommended designations and mapping <br />corrections of the county, as outlined and identified on <br />individual community maps and summary sheets, be submitted <br />to the Commissioner of Natural Resources as the minimum <br />necessary corrections needed under the existing law. Question <br />arose as why Clearwater Creek was not outlined on map. Mr. <br />Christiansen will find out and report to clerk. <br /> <br />Motion by L'Allier, second by Laska to permit Northwestern <br />Bell Telephone Company to place, construct and thereafter <br />maintain buried cable on LaValle Drive, south of County <br />Road #14, motion carried. <br /> <br />Information on C~TA was discussed. Clerk will fill out <br />proper forms and remit to the CETA office in order to <br />inform them the City is interested in having a CETA employee <br />for the summer. <br /> <br />Preliminary Plat of Gardner Estates was presented. Mr. Jim <br />Gardner gave brief presentation of plat, Walt Williams went <br />over the engineer recommendations and Mayor referred to items <br />on City Planner's letter. After considerable discussion, <br />polling of council members on their views of plat and <br />audience participation, motion was made by Wilharber, <br />
