61.25: STR~ET: A right-of-way which affords the principal means of access to abutting property. A street may be designated as a highway, thoroughfare, parkway, boulevard, road, avenue, lane, drive, place or other appropriate name. A street may also be identified according to type of use as follows: (a) Arterial Street or Highway: Streets providing for traffic movements between traffic generation areas. (b) Collector Streets: Streets providing connection primarily between arterial streets or arterial and local streets. (c) Local Streets: Streets serving primarily as access to abutting properties and not intended as major streets or highways carrying through traffic. 61.26. STRnBT WIDTH: The shortest distance between lines of lots delineating the street. 61.27: SUBDIVIDER: Any person who undertakes the subdivision of land as defined herein. The subdivider may be the owner or the authorized agent of the owner of the land to be subdivided. 61.28. SUBDIVISION: The division of a single lot, tract or parcel of land, or a part thereof, into two or more lots, tracts or parcels of land. 61.29: THOROUGHFAR~: A public right-of-way with a high degree of traffic continuity and serving as an arterial trafficway between the various districts of the City of Centerville. 61.30. TOPOGRAPHY: The detailed description of the features of a relatively small area, also the relief features or surface configuration of an area. 61.31. WAT~RCOURS~: The word watercourse shall include channel, creek, ditch, drain, river and stream. 61.J2. WAT~RSH~D: Rice Creek Watershed District. 61.33. ZONING: The reservation of certain specified areas within the municipality for buildings and structures for certain purposes with other limitations such as heights, lot coverage and other stipulated requirements.
