<br />61.25: STR~ET: A right-of-way which affords the principal <br />means of access to abutting property. A street may be <br />designated as a highway, thoroughfare, parkway, <br />boulevard, road, avenue, lane, drive, place or other <br />appropriate name. A street may also be identified <br />according to type of use as follows: <br /> <br />(a) Arterial Street or Highway: Streets providing <br />for traffic movements between traffic generation <br />areas. <br /> <br />(b) Collector Streets: Streets providing connection <br />primarily between arterial streets or arterial <br />and local streets. <br /> <br />(c) Local Streets: Streets serving primarily as <br />access to abutting properties and not intended <br />as major streets or highways carrying through <br />traffic. <br /> <br />61.26. STRnBT WIDTH: The shortest distance between lines of <br />lots delineating the street. <br /> <br />61.27: SUBDIVIDER: Any person who undertakes the subdivision <br />of land as defined herein. The subdivider may be the <br />owner or the authorized agent of the owner of the <br />land to be subdivided. <br /> <br />61.28. SUBDIVISION: The division of a single lot, tract or <br />parcel of land, or a part thereof, into two or more <br />lots, tracts or parcels of land. <br /> <br />61.29: THOROUGHFAR~: A public right-of-way with a high <br />degree of traffic continuity and serving as an arterial <br />trafficway between the various districts of the City <br />of Centerville. <br /> <br />61.30. TOPOGRAPHY: The detailed description of the features <br />of a relatively small area, also the relief features <br />or surface configuration of an area. <br /> <br />61.31. WAT~RCOURS~: The word watercourse shall include <br />channel, creek, ditch, drain, river and stream. <br /> <br />61.J2. WAT~RSH~D: Rice Creek Watershed District. <br /> <br />61.33. ZONING: The reservation of certain specified areas <br />within the municipality for buildings and structures <br />for certain purposes with other limitations such as <br />heights, lot coverage and other stipulated requirements. <br />
