<br />CC Meeting Minutes <br />August 23, 1989 <br />Page Five <br /> <br />no retainage. He advised that the work appears to have been <br />completed satisfactorily. <br /> <br />Motion by Haberman, second by Peterson to accept the partial pay <br />estimate #1 and final for Midwest Underground Inspections for <br />work performed on the 1989 storm Sewer Maintenance Program in the <br />amount of $6,230.97 contingent upon the receipt of the <br />appropriate IC-form, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Haberman noted that there appears to be a dip on Mill Road <br />north of Peltier Lake Drive which was part of the 1989 street <br />Patching Project. <br /> <br />stewart will check out the area and advise the city council. <br /> <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, presented a letter dated August 23, <br />1989 to the city council which outlines the 1989 Street Patch and <br />Repairs Program, the 1989 Storm Sewer Maintenance Program and <br />Future Long Term Maintenance. A copy of this letter is on file <br />with the City Clerk. Stewart advised that the City has almost <br />doubled the length of its streets and he advised that seal <br />coating for the majority of the streets may be five to seven <br />years down the road, but that it would be advisable for the City <br />council to look at this type of maintenance program now for <br />budgetary reasons. stewart advised that he would have specific <br />numbers with regard to estimates for future long term maintenance <br />projects at the next City council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Burgstahler to direct Bi tuminous <br />Consulting to blacktop the lift station #3 area for a cost not to <br />exceed $350.00, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Peterson, second by Neumann to write a letter to Anoka <br />County expressing the City's appreciation for County efforts in <br />working with the City for construction of the Main street <br />sidewalk and for discussions and planning wi th the Clearwater <br />Creek Crossing Culvert; the letter will also state that the City <br />of Centerville has begun planning efforts toward looking at <br />potential County Road 14 improvement and is evaluating such <br />improvement with regard to the impact of the City, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
