<br />Meeting Minutes - CC <br />August 9, 1989 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Pelton to direct the <br />Clerk/Administrator to work with Wayne LeBlanc to prepare a <br />letter of support for the Clean Water Partnership Program from <br />the City of Centerville; and to offer a monetary contribution of <br />$500.00 toward the Clean Water Partnership Program, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> <br />Residents on Brian Drive north of Main street appeared before the <br />City council to discuss the proposed implementation of a sidewalk <br />on the west side of Brian Drive. The following residents asked <br />questions and expressed concerns regarding said sidewalk. <br /> <br />Robert Wright, 7137 Brian Drive <br />Sally Bachmeier, 7143 Brian Drive <br />Terry Sweeney, 7154 Brian Drive <br />Gregg Kieselhorst, 7155 Brian Drive <br />Ken Knutson, 7149 Brian Drive <br />Barb Perkins, 7131 Brian Drive <br />Lisa Kieselhorst, 7155 Brian Drive <br />Mrs. Knutson, 7149 Brian Drive <br /> <br />Some of the concerns expressed by the residents were: <br />The purpose of the sidewalk <br />Sod recently laid will be disturbed <br />Trees recently planted will have to be moved <br />will sidewalk be bituminous versus concrete <br />Liability <br />Litter <br />The priority of developing park areas before sidewalk <br />implementation <br />Implementation of the sidewalk on one side of the <br />street versus both sides <br />Trucks and cars speeding on Brian Drive <br />Concern that the speed limit should be posted at 10 to <br />15 mph <br />Dead end street sign should be installed <br />The developer/builder did not inform them at the time <br />of the purchase of the property that a sidewalk would <br />be implemented <br />
