Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the <br />City of Centerville held their regular meeting on September 13, <br />1989 at City Hall, Mayor Haberman called the meeting to order at <br />7:10 p.m. Present: Peterson, Pelton, Burgstahier, Neumann. <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Haberman to accept the minutes of the <br />August 23, 1989 with the following amendment: <br />Page four, paragraph four now reads: "stripping the <br />vegetation and receding", <br />Amended to read: "stripping the vegetation and re --seeding", <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />APPEARANCES: <br />Jim Mastel.l.er of the Columbus Lion's Club was present to address <br />the City Council regarding Charitable Gambling. <br />It appears that the Centerville Lion's Club has experienced <br />unexplained disappearances of money at the Trio Inn with regard to <br />pull tabs and they are going to cancel their license. The Columbus <br />Lion's Club would like to move back in to the Trio Inn to operate <br />as they had done in 1988. They advised that they are aware of the <br />problems the Centerville Lion's Club has experienced and are going <br />to take measures to try and correct the problem. <br />Masteller advised that the Columbus Lion's Club would also like to <br />take over the pull tabs at the Gregg's Centerville Lounge. He <br />asked that he be able to be put on the September 27, 1989 agenda. <br />He advised that he would be requesting a waiver of the 60 day <br />waiting period at the September 27th meeting. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />It was noted that with regard to the Center oaks II final <br />acceptance, corrections still have to be made to correct damage to <br />curbs and that seeding along the north side of the project was not <br />yet complete. <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, suggested waiting 30 days after the <br />seeding period for final. acceptance. <br />Discussion of Mill Road patching project. <br />It was discussed at the August 23, 1989 City Council meeting that <br />there was a dip on Mild. Road in the patching area. John Stewart, <br />City Engineer, net with Mayor Haberman and Council member Neumann <br />to discuss the site. The City Engineer was directed to have <br />additional work completed on the project to correct the dip. <br />Haberman advised that they had opted to add drain the to that <br />section of the road, and the patching on that section of Mill CC <br />
