<br />city Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 22, 1990 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />-all the nuts and bolts are in the rink, <br />-turf areas are smooth, <br />-the area should be checked for pot holes etc., <br />-clean up and buff the building, <br />-rusted and jagged trash cans should be replaced, <br />-there should be certificates of appreciation for the Park <br />workers who helped with the building, <br />-if the Park and Recreation Committee would like volunteers <br />from the City council for a representative at the <br />dedication that she would be available, <br />-Jackie L'Allier did a good job on decorations for Christmas, <br />possibly she would be interested in helping to decorate <br />for the City Celebration. <br /> <br />1987 street Reconstruction Assessment <br />The following persons asked questions, expressed concerns and/or <br />made comments regarding this issue: <br />Ted Erkenbrack, 7377 Peltier Circle, <br />Maureen Asleson, 7232 Mill Road, <br />Lewis Hendricks, 1621 Peltier Lake Drive. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to table discussion of <br />possible reassessment to non-petitioners for the 1987 street <br />Reconstruction Project until the September 12, 1990 City Council <br />meeting so that the City Council may review the attorney's opinions <br />for clarification of information, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Police Service <br />The following audience members expressed comments regarding this <br />issue: <br />Larry Henning, 7105 - 20th Avenue North, <br />Leon L'Allier, 1973 Main Street, <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to direct staff to request <br />the Anoka County Sheriff's Department to give a presentation at the <br />September 12, 1990 City Council meeting; <br />-City staff shall also request Lino Lakes to do the same, <br />however, if they wish to hold a discussion on a date <br />other than September 12, 1990 that the City of <br />Centerville would be receptive to this meeting; <br />-City staff is also requested to contact Columbus Township to <br />see if they would be interested in sharing police <br />services; <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />certification of Propo~ed 199~ Budget to Anoka County <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Neumann to set the preliminary <br />levy to be certified to Anoka County prior to September 1, 1990 to <br />be based upon a 25% increase in the City tax capacity rate, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
