<br />Budget Meeting Minutes - CC <br />page three <br />August 20, 1990 <br /> <br />Police State Aid had been deducted from the cost; and to obtain <br />the 1991 Lino Lakes proposed police budget. <br /> <br />It appeared to be the concensus of the City Council that in order <br />to budget appropriately for a replacement snow plow, the "Capital <br />Improvements" account should be increased to $15,000. <br /> <br />It appeared to be the concensus of the City Council that in order <br />to budget appropriately for repair and upgrade of the current <br />fire hall/city hall facilities, the "Building Fund" account <br />should be increased to $10,000. <br /> <br />City staff will ask the City <br />cost effective street lighting <br />costs at a minimum. <br /> <br />Engineer whether there is a more <br />unit to help keep the utility <br /> <br />The Park and Recreation budget was discussed. Council member <br />Pelton suggested that with each piece of equipment or building, <br />5% of the capital expenditure cost should be put aside each year <br />for maintenance. <br /> <br />Notion by Haberman, second by Pelton to remove the "No Smol~ing" <br />question at the bottom of the employee applications, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Notion by Pelton, second by Haberman to request a physical for <br />the temporary part time person to be hired; the <br />Clerk/Administrator is authorized to hire JoAnn Merrit to this <br />positions through September 1990 to continue contingent upon work <br />availability for a dollar amount not to exceed $1,200; the <br />position will be offered at $5.50 per hour, however, the <br />Clerk/Administrator has the authority to negotiate up to $6.00 <br />per hour; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Notion by Pelton, second by Haberman to direct Udo Wegman, part <br />time temporary employee to take a physical so that any possible <br />limitations he may have can be recognized in his work <br />assignments, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by <br />motoin carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Haberman to adjourn the meeting, <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:34 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Tamara M.
