Meeting Minutes - CC
December 12. 1990
page three

Planned Unit Development.

Council member Burgstahler:
-Mr. Rehbein came to the City with one proposal and now has
another. At this meeting he now suggests that maybe he
will build apartment buildings. There is concern that
if the City were to like the revised sketch plan and
they were to spend time on it would Mr. Rehbein again
change his mind.
-He is not necessarily apposed to apartment buildings.
-He would like outside input in evaluating the proposed
sketch plan.
-He would like the project to be an asset to the City.
-He is disappointed in the revised proposed sketch plan.

Mayor Haberman:
-The original plan had more imagination with regard to
street layout and design versus the proposed plan which
appears to have a row house effect.
-He is concerned about a sixteen foot driveway and emergency
vehicle access to the end units.

Council member Buckbee:
-The City rezoned the property based upon the original
sketch plan.
-After rezoning the developer now presents a different plan.
Buckbee feels that the City may have been some what
.. hood winked".
-The currently proposed plan is more congested.
-Open recreational space has to be addressed.
-Negative comments from the Planning and Zoning Commission
members are in their last meeting minutes.
-He is very disappointed in the currently proposed plan.
-City originally rezoned the property in good faith to try
and help accommodate the developer, and he does not
want to see the developer walk away upset because the
revised plan is not approved.

City Celebration
Council member Pelton asked that a Historical Society Committee
member be asked to participate on the City Celebration Committee.

Council member Pelton advised that she would like to work on a
City Celebration project, but that she could not participate on a
committee.

Mayor Haberman also advised that he also would like to kept very
informed on the project.
