He noted that the Building Inspector should be reminded <br />to make sure that vacuum breakers are on all threaded potable water <br />connections and that this would apply to new, remodeled and older <br />homes which newly connect to the municipal water system. <br /> <br />council member Pelton suggested adding a section on to the plumbing <br />permit which asks if the plumber is supplying a back stop flow <br />preventer. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Neumann <br />-to direct the Public Works Director to attend the Water <br />School in April of 1991 and take the test for Water <br />Certification as per recommendation 16 of the Minnesota <br />Department of Health letter dated June 4, 1990; <br />-also any other Public Works Employees which do not have the <br />certification shall be authorized to take the training <br />at that time; <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Municipal W~ter Extension - Bond Bid <br />Carolyn Drude, Municipal Financial Advisor, was present to discuss <br />a bond bid-to the City of centerville for the 1990 Municipal Water <br />Extension Project. A copy of the bid is on file with the <br />Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />She noted that the bid is for a $260,000 bond through the Firstar <br />Bank in Hugo.
