Presentations will be made to the <br />kindergarten through third grades. Chief Bennett noted that this <br />is part of Fire Prevention month. <br /> <br />Chief Bennett noted that three members of the Centennial Fire <br />District are involved with an Anoka County Juvenile Task Force. <br />Chief Bennett explained that the purpose of this task force is to <br />develop an educational program to discourage juvenile fire <br />starters. This program is operated in conjunction with the Anoka <br />County Attorney's Office and is held at the Lino Lakes Juvenile <br />Detention Center. <br /> <br />Chief Bennett noted that on Saturday, October 25, 1993 the <br />Centennial Fire District will be going door to door to offer free <br />smoke detectors to residents who do not presently have smoke <br />detectors. If the resident is unable to install the smoke <br />detector, the Centennial Fire District will install them on the <br />spot. <br /> <br />Council member Daria asked Chief Bennett if all the fire fighters <br />are trained to operate the automatic fibulators. <br /> <br />Chief Bennett noted that all fire fighters are given practicle <br />and written tests with a refresher course every six months. <br /> <br />Chief Bennett <br />response time <br />fire station <br />fire fighters <br /> <br />stated that Station #3 is working great. Mr. Hagerty <br />noted that Lake Sanitation is requesting the City repay Lake <br />Sanitation a portion of the $2.00 rebate with SCORE funds. Mr. <br />Hagerty recommended that part of the request be made to assist <br />with the funding of rising costs that have occurred to Lake <br />Sanitation. Mr. Hagerty is recommending that Lake Sanitation <br />receive $.50 per household. <br />
