Council
member Wilharber expressed that he recalled that Lake Sanitation
is to provide recycling services and a recycling rebate to
Centerville residents with no reference to SCORE funding.

Mr. Hagerty noted the City could review the contract with lake
Sanitation. Mr. Hagerty noted it is permissible and encouraged
by Anoka County to reimburse the recycling haulers. Mr. Hagerty
noted that Lake Sanitation is currently being paid for the
aluminum and tin recylables, but the rest of the materials picked
up for recycling do not have a value at this time.

motion

Buckbee, second by Wilharber to direct Randy Hagerty,
Coordinator, to work with City staff to provide the
information:
the current lake Sanitation contract with regard to
recycling service and recycling rebates for the City of
Centerville;
to prepare a recycling value chart with regard to the
items currently recycled curbside by Lake Sanitation;
that this information be provided to the City Council
at the next appropriate meeting,
carried unanimously.

Motion by
Recycling
following

Mr. Hagerty presented the City Council
Achievement certificate from the
Commissioners for recycling during 1992.

with
Anoka

a Waste Abatement
County Board of

OLD BUSINESS:

Royal Meadows - DrainaQe Concerns.
Council member Helmbrecht noted that she has spoken with Gunnar
Pettersen, Building Inspector, regarding the drainage concerns.
Council member Helmbrecht noted that Mr. Pettersen shot the
elevation of the drainage area and there appears to be a two foot
difference. Mr. Pettersen appeared to feel it should drain
properly if there were not any obstructions.

Council member Helmbrecht noted that one obstruction is a double
fence, with one side having rail road ties and stepping stones.
Council member Helmbrecht noted that Mr. Pettersen has asked the
resident to remove the rail road ties and stepping stones and to
maintain the area between the fences.

Council member Helmbrecht noted that a neighboring property owner
has dug a trench to water a garden. Council member Helmbrecht
suggested that the City should take steps to eliminate double
fencing. Council member Helmbrecht noted she viewed the area on
Sunday, October 19, 1993, and the stepping stones had not been
