Ms. Kranz noted hockey is an expensive sport to <br />participate in. the Centennial Youth Hockey Association would <br />like to have more children participate in the association. <br /> <br />John Benson, Representative from the Centennial Youth Hockey <br />Association, noted Paul Montain, owner of the Trio Inn, <br />approached the association to operate pull tabs in his <br />establishment. Mr. Benson noted this would be on a trail basis, <br />the association is skeptical about making money at the Trio Inn. <br />Mr. Benson noted that state statute reads fifty percent of their <br />net profits be expended within the "trade area". Mr. Benson <br />expressed he did not feel that Centerville's ordinance was <br />enforceable. <br /> <br />Neil Reisdorfer, Representative of Centennial Youth Hockey <br />Association, was present and questioned what the association had <br />to do to be able to operate pull tabs at the Trio Inn. <br /> <br />Ms. Miltz-Miller noted it is the intention of the <br />supply 50% of the profits from charitable gambling <br />benefit the residents of Centerville. If the ordinance is not <br />amended the Centennial Youth Hockey Association will cease pull <br />tab operations at both establishments within the City of <br />Centerville. <br /> <br />Council member Brenner noted the City ordinance is lacking in <br />defining trade area.
