City of Centerville <br />Planning& Zoning Commission <br />July 5, 2005 Meeting Minutes <br />Ordinance #45 – A – This Ordinance was adopted when City went to remote reading of <br />meters <br />Ordinance #46 – City Administrator Larson suggested abandoning this Ordinance and <br />adding a more general statementconcerning weight restrictions. He then suggested going <br />to a 5-ton limit with few exceptions by permit. <br />City Administrator Larson suggested outlawing parking of semis or big trucks in <br />neighborhoods. <br />Commissioner Love indicated he would have an issue not allowing owners to park trucks <br />at home. <br />The Commission suggested that a 7-ton limit would be easier on residents. <br />Ordinance #47 – Hanson asked if Staff updated the cross-reference. Mr. Larson indicated <br />Staff would be looking into this reference during the codification. <br />Ordinance #48 – No changes needed. Commissioner Wright said that there are statistics <br />that prove that mailbox theft is more prevalent when boxes are clustered. <br />The Commission asked Staff to look into whether the postal service requires clustering of <br />mailboxes. <br />Ordinance #49 – No Changes needed. <br />Chair Hanson suggested stating in the Ordinance to refer to the snowmobile ordinance. <br />Mr. Larson suggested deleting the reference to snowmobiles entirely and the Commission <br />agreed. <br />Ordinance #50 – No changes needed. <br />Ordinance #51 – No changes needed. <br />Ordinance #52 – No changes needed. <br />Ordinance #53 – No changes needed. <br />The Commission discussed adding personal services to the list of not allowed. <br />Ordinance #54 – No changes needed. <br />Commissioner Wood asked Staff to look into commercial properties not being actively <br />used or kept up to see what can be done to improve the aesthetics. <br />Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br />
