<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />Page Three <br />August 12, 1987 <br /> <br />John Stewart, City Engineer noted that the City has two choices: <br />1. Act on Mr. Mullins petition to improve the street using <br />one of the three cost figures given at the July 28, <br />1987 meeting; <br />2. Elect to do nothing, as the City has not received a <br />petition to vacate that section of Sorel Street. <br /> <br />Members of the audience spoke on this issue: <br />Don Marier, 1801 East 77th Street, Lino Lakes <br />Trisha Brooks, 1300 Birch Street, Lino Lakes <br />Gary Kostelecki, 7905 20th Avenue North, Lino Lakes <br />Lorraine Soplata, 6634 Centerville Road, Lino Lakes. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie that the three above <br />mentioned property owners involved are to set up a mutual date <br />with the City Clerk for Mediation Services to try to come to an <br />agreement; necessary documentation will be supplied to the <br />Mediation Services; it will be the responsibility of the property <br />owners to recontact the City when an agreement has been made, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPEARANCES <br />Margaret Langfield, County Commissioner and Paul Rude, Anoka <br />County Highway department appeared to discuss projected <br />improvements of County roads within the Centerville area. <br /> <br />Members of the audience asked questions: <br />Carol Pelton, 7178 Mill Road <br />John Probst, 7161 Mill Road <br />Bell Svetin, 1716 Peltier Lake <br /> <br />Orville Hughes, Public Works Director appeared to present a <br />formal statement of the use of the City truck. He also noted <br />requested direction on the overlaying of Progress Road, LaMotte <br />Drive, and Mound Trial. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council that the Employee Review <br />Board meet regarding the uses of the truck, then come back to the <br />City with a recommendation. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council that Centerville will pay for <br />all of the sealcoating on Mound Trial. Lino Lakes will not be <br />asked to participate as so little of Mound Trail is in their City <br />limits. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by L'Allier to overlay Progress Road, <br />LaMotte Drive, and Mound Trail at this time; aye: L'Allier, <br />Laska, nay: Neumann, Fritchie, abstain: Wilharber. <br /> <br />City Engineer reminded the Council that they do have a contract <br />
