<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />Page Three <br />July 8, 1987 <br /> <br />Fritchie. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Laska to accept the recommendations <br />of the street naming committee and rename the presently named <br />Peterson Trail to Hayfield Road and the presently nameless <br />north/south street Peterson Trial, motion carried uanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion of municipal water. John Stewart, City Engineer <br />advised that he feels it would be worth Centervilles resources to <br />research the cost of municipal water. Council member Fritchie <br />noted that the City could bond L'Allier Estates II and have the <br />assessments for the water project paid off when each lot is sold. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Neumann to request Maier, Stewart <br />and Associates to do a feasibility study for municipal water to <br />include the L'Allier Estates II and Centerville Heights <br />developments, the cost of the feasibility study not to exceed <br />$1,200.00 and to be completed and ready by the July 22, 1987 City <br />Council meeting, aye: Neumann, Fritchie; nay: Laska, L'Allier, <br />motion failed. <br /> <br />Council member Fritchie reported on the Quad Cities <br />Transportation Project and asked Council member Laska to be the <br />representative for the City of Centerville for this project. <br />Council member Laska will consider the request. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to accept the <br />recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission to grant a <br />variance to Ordinance #8 to Ralph L'Allier representative of <br />L'Allier Estates, for land swap to add Tract A: <br />The North 16.5 feet of the East 159.00 feet of Lot 5, <br />Block 2, L'Allier Estates, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />to Lot 4, Block 2 L'Allier Estates. To add: <br />That part of Lot 9, Auditor's Subdivision number 47 <br />(revised), laying Southerly of L'Allier Estates and laying <br />Easterly of Southerly section of West line of L'Allier <br />Estates, except the East 191.31 feet thereof subject to <br />easement of REC; <br />to Lot 5, Block 2 L'Allier Estates, aye: Neumann, Fritchie, <br />Laska; abstain: L'Allier. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Laska to accept the recommendation <br />of the Planning and Zoning Commission to grant a variance to <br />Ordinance #8, pending the opinion of the City Attorney on the <br />legality of the land descriptions, to Donald Opp at 1745 Main <br />Street, for purchasing and swapping parcels of land to change lot <br />lines: <br />Charles Underwood would obtain title to the property: <br />Beginning at the NE corner of Lot 7, Block 3, <br />
