City Council Meeting
Minutes
Page Two
May 27, 1987

Fritchie, and Mayor L'Allier to work on the inspections of the
road reconstruction project, motion carried unanimously.

The above persons will largely be an information source for the
public. It is suggested that they spend time once per week to
determine what is happening with the project, and spend time with
the City Engineers making sure the job is done right.

Clerk will send a letter to Anoka County explaining the situation
and requesting a permit for residents to park on the streets if
they can not get to their driveways from mid June to mid October.

City Engineer discussed patching to be done in the sealcoating
project. Engineer recommends that the City have skin patching
done versus directing City Public Works Personnel to dig out the
holes. City Engineer advises that 1/2 mile of LaMotte Drive and
Progress Road are particularly cracked up. It would cost about
$8,700.00 to do that amount of work, and suggests the City use a
cushion number of $10,000.00. City may want to let those
sections of LaMotte Drive and Progress Road remain unrepaired for
now and come back and redue them in 2-3 years.

Motion by Laska, second by Fritchie to direct City Clerk to work
with City Engineer to solicit a letter for quotes for 300 square
feet of skin patching, motion carried unanimously.

It was discussed that the City of Lino Lakes agreed to cover the
cost of sealcoating for the section of Mound Trail that is within
their City limits, but did not specifically agree to pay for any
patching for that area. Clerk will write a letter to the City of
Lino Lakes Engineer to request that he determine where the City
limits are with respect to Mound Trail.

Motion by Laska, second by Fritchie to award the sealcoating bid
to Allied Blacktop for $14,895.40, with the condition that the
protions of the project covered with overlay on LaMotte Drive,
Progress Road and Mound Trail be deleted, this would amount to
about 1/2 mile of roadway originally included in the project not
to be sealcoated, and that the sealcoating project will include
the roads in Royal Meadows, motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to approve the Plans and
Specifications of Center Oaks II as prepared by Maier, Stewart
and Associates, Inc. dated May 20, 1987, said approval is
contingent upon resolution of the storm sewer issue on the
Southeast corner of the Center Oaks II property with Carpenter's
Auto Body; and contingent on the City Engineer providing the City
of Centerville with as-builts as adopted by the City Engineers,
