<br />City Council Meeting <br />Minutes <br />Page Six <br />May 21, 1981 <br /> <br />Council members also advised that ecological concerns can be <br />addressed in a development contract with the developer. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Robischon to have ecological <br />concerns of the city be an agenda item at the meeting the end of <br />June with the City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, and <br />the Park and Recreation Committee, motion carried unanimously_ <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Discussion of the tennis court. No maintenance plan is in <br />existence for the tennis court, and repair of the court will not <br />be taken out of the road maintenance budget. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to direct City Clerk to write <br />a letter to John R. McClellan, Superintendent to advise him that <br />the City of Centerville is aware of the problem, the courts are <br />locked and the nets are down, the Council will talk over the <br />court with the Park and Recreation Committee at the meeting the <br />end of June, the City does enjoy the use of the courts; a carbon <br />copy to be sent to Larry Jablinski, Director of Personnel, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council member Laska will take care of obtaining the pea rock to <br />feed down the sink hole in the tennis court. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by Fritchie to direct the City Clerk to <br />obtain a bid from Action Court for resurfacing the tennis court, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion of P&R recommendation that a developer attend the P&R <br />meeting with a proposed grading plan when his development is <br />being discussed, and that the developer contact P&Z, then P&R, <br />and then the City Council for final approval. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to direct City Clerk to <br />notify the Park and Recreation Committee when a sketch plan is <br />being presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Park <br />and Recreation Committee will attend the sketch plan and <br />preliminary plat meetings of the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />that pertain to planned unit developments, it is suggested that <br />the Park and Recreation Committee set up a rotating liaison to <br />attend the Planning and Zoning Commission meetings when a <br />development is being proposed, motion carried uanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to direct the City Clerk to <br />get clarification from the City Attorney as to whether the City <br />of Centerville is required to amend the comprehensive plan if <br />they do not accept the recommendations of the Park and Recreation <br />Committee with regard to trails for park dedication, as stated in <br />
