John Stewart, City <br />Engineer, advised that it is common for cities to request a Civil Defense <br />Dedication Fee. <br /> <br />Senator Greg Dahl appeared before the City Council to update the Council <br />and Centerv;lle citizens what he has been and ;s currently working on. He <br />advised that he has many neVi committee assignments, is authoring/co-authoring <br />many bills in Congress, working with constituents, and working on the proposed <br />budget. Members of the audience asked questions of Senator Dahl: <br />Helen Arhip, 1537 Peltier Lake Drive <br />Bill Svetin, 1687 Peltier Lake Drive <br />Dan Tourville, 6994 Centerville Road <br />Mary Jane Lang, 1559 Peltier Lake Drive <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Neumann to have Orville Hughes, Public Works <br />Director, remove the inplace illegal "SPEED Llf'1IT 20" signs, the inplace <br />"SLOW CHILDREN AT PLAY" signs and the IINO THROUGH TRAFFIC" sign on Peltier <br />Lake Drive as suggested by the ~~innesota Department of Transportation, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />notion by Neunlann, second by Fritchie to table Speed Zoning of Peltier Lake <br />Drive and Center Street until the City receives a. re~poDse.from William <br />Ha\-,kins, City Plttorney regarding the dead ending cf Peltier Lake Drive, nlotion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />:'ioti on by Fri tchi e, second by Neumann to get permi ss i on 'from ^noka County <br />to allow the City of Centerville to enforce the County posted "NO PARKING" '" <br />signs on County Roads that are within the Centerville City Limits, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk advised that the first day that Lake Sanitation has available for Spring <br />Clean Up is nay 16,1987. Council menlber Robischon inquires as to vJhether the <br />City can solicit other haulers \~hen Lake Sanitation is not available and if <br />it would be, possible to request the first Saturday in May to be reserved by <br />Lake Sanitation for Centerville Spring Clean Up Day every year'. Clerk v/il1 revievI <br />Centerville - Lake Sanitation contract. <br /> <br />;.1otion by Laska, second by Neumann to hold Spring Clean Up Day ~~ay 16,1987, <br />motion carried unanimously_ Clerk will advertise on cable and in the quad <br />P re s s . <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Robischon to write a letter to North Suburban <br />Consumer Advocates for the Handicapped advisinq ttlem that the City of Centerville <br />is unable to monetarily contribute to their organization at this time, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council members Fritchie and Laksa will be present at the Seal Coating and Road <br />Reconstruction bidding at 2:30 P.M and 3:00 P.M. respectively on April 24, 1987. <br /> <br />t1otion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to comply with the March 11, 1987 request <br />of Jerry Roach, 7159 Mill Road that the City Council allow him to obtain a <br />Performance Bond in substitueof the 125% letter of credit, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
