<br />City Council ~'1eeting <br />r~ii nutes <br />Page Three <br />Apri 1 22, 1987 <br /> <br />Clerk informed the Council that Rick Bangert, Fire i',1arshall has looked at tQ-e <br />outside of the duplex on 7159 nill Road and that it appeared to be safe. He <br />stated that he can not determine if the building will be safe after remodeling <br />as the ~/~'ork \vould appear to be extensive. The safety of the building during <br />remodeling \^Jould be regulated 'by the building inspector. ' <br /> <br />Noti on by Fri tchi e, second by Robi schon to grant Gerry Roach a Speci a 1 Use <br />Permit to convert the duplex at 7159 Mill Road to a six unit apartment building, <br />based upon the interior blueprints presented by Mr. Roach at the March 11, 1987 <br />City Council meeting and the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Com- <br />mission, \vith the exception of Condition #7 from v/hich the City Council has <br />agreed to a Performance Bond, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council menlber r~eumann, Centervillels representative to the Plannin~ COn1:nission <br />for the Centennial Fire i)istrict attended the April 16, 1987 Centennial Fire <br />District rneeting. He advised that they are developing a 5-10 year plan and that <br />the long range forecasts sound good. The Centennial Fire Commission meets <br />the third Thursday of each month. <br /> <br />Council member Robischon requested a name and address listing of all City <br />Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, and Park and Recreation Committee <br />members. Clerk will update current listing to include all of the persons <br />requested. <br /> <br />COUAcil member Robischon was liaison to the Park and Recreation Committee <br />in April and attended their April 14, 1987 meeting. He advised that P & R <br />Committee members are confused as to what happens to monies budgeted to P & R, <br />but not used up during the year. Mayor L'Allier advised that the monies would <br />be carried over into their budget for next year. Robischon also advised that <br />P & R feel uninformed as to the Public Harks employee hours spent on P ti R <br />Clerk advised that this is broken dOvln on the "RECEIPTS AND DISBURSEr'!1ENTS" <br />which is given to them each month. Clerk will obtain previous "RECEIPTS AND <br />DISBURSEr,iENTS" and show examples to P & R on hO\^J this is done. <br /> <br />Robischon feels that P & R may not coincide with the Council IS views on the <br />issue of parks in new developments. Mayor L'Allier noted that <br />Centerville may not be able to expdnd a park system throughout the city. <br />L'Allier suggests that the City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission and <br />Park and Recreation Committee meet informally in June after Council member <br />Neumann returns from vacation to discuss parks in the City. <br /> <br />r~10tion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to require any requests from the Ctiy <br />Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, or Park and Recreation Committee <br />of v/ork to be done by the Public vJorks employees be directed through the <br />established chain of command, being first directive itayor LIAllier, second <br />directive Council member and Acting Mayor Rcbishcon, olotion carried u~animously. <br /> <br />Council member Robischon announced that P & R is planning ~ planting seedlings <br />in Central Park on Arbor Day v/ith the school children. He also noted that one <br />set of baseball bases are missing and it has been suggested to obtain a steel <br />box to store bases in and requiririq a deposit on the keys to tlat box, making <br />a small number of persons responsible. A soccer field is being put in Central <br />Park and it vJill not interfere \'Jith Centerville's or the Lions Club plans for the <br />park. <br />
