<br />Page Two-City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 11, 1987 <br /> <br />Wayne LeBlanc asked for a poll from the Council members as <br />to what roads they feel should be reconstructed and when. <br /> <br />Mayor L'Allier advised that he felt Peltier Lake Drive <br />should be reconstructed now, Center Street and Mill Road <br />should wait for the developments to go through, and Shad <br />Avenue should wait a few years. <br /> <br />Council member Fritchie felt that the new developments <br />would be under construction for the next 2-4 years and did <br />not feel we could wait that locg for reconstruction of the <br />roads. <br /> <br />Council member Robischon agreed with Fritchie that the <br />roads should be done this year. He felt that according to <br />the specifications, the roads should not break up due to <br />hauling for constuction of the new developments. <br /> <br />Council member Laska felt that Peltier Lake Drive and 500 <br />feet on Mill Road off County Road 14 should be reconstructed. <br />He felt we could overlay the rest. <br /> <br />Council member Neumann felt that Mill Road and Peltier Lake <br />Drive could be done now, and wait on Center Street. He <br />felt we could overlay Shad Avenue. <br /> <br />Wayne LeBlanc expressed his opinion that he felt all the <br />roads should be reconstucted. <br /> <br />Discussion of review of preliminary road reconstuction <br />plans will be conducted when city engineers arrive. <br /> <br />Carol Pelton expressed concern over a heavy truck that <br />drives down Mill Road several times a day. She advised <br />that in her opinion weight limits should be on the roads <br />year round. Clerk will check on this truck, as George <br />Haberman advised that he thinks the truck is empty when it <br />is on Mill Road, thus under the weight limits. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Motion by Laska, second by Neumann to approve variance <br />request by Marcel Rivard and Margaret Anderson, 7072 <br />Progress Road, to split lot 11, block 2 thereby creating <br />two 75' X 150' lots described as lot 10 and North 1/2 <br />of lot 11, block 2; and lot 12 and the South 1/2 of lot 11, <br />block 2. Also, to allow variance to Ordinance #4, Section <br />)4.01-2 for a 16' variance to the 50' setback off Sorel <br />Street to accomodate the 44' house width and side yard <br />setback. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion of request for Special Use Permit for Jerry <br />Roach, 7159 Mill Road. Jerry Roach was not present. The <br />building elevation map needed to make the decision was not <br />available. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Fritchie to table discussion <br />
