Present were
Burque, L' Allier, I'v1urray and Peterson~

A report was given by the Road Committee.

Police oontract with Lino Lakes was discussed. Chief
Myhre had delivered contract to clerk that afternoon. Figures
included in contract were:

1976 per capita figure - $17.86
1975 per capita fi~ure - $14.17
1976 total cost - $11,146.64
1975 total cost - $8,842.08

There were two page threes to the contract. One stating that
the per capita figure would be $17.86 and the second page
stating that the contract shall remain in full force with the
exception of Section 13, due to present Union negotiations
between the City of Lino Lakes and the Union representative
for the members of the Lino Lakes Police Department. When
these negotiations are finalized, the city of Lino Lakes and
the City of Centerville will negotiate the final cost figures
having regard to the final Union contract. Elmer Murray made
a motion to sign page three of contract stating the $17.86 per
capita figure and leave the second page three for study by our
attorney and further discussion between the two cities dealing
with the negotiations and final cost figures, John Peterson
seconded it, motion carried.

Mayor read portions of letter received from the Department
of Agriculture concerning a request from Frank Everhard on the
Minnesota Department of Agriculture's subsidy program for
homeowners who must remove diseased elm and oak trees.

The matter of the downed trees and shrubs in the park
area was discussed. We have been advised that the trees have
to be burned by April 1st. Mayor was to contact Hank Miers
to push pile together and burn it next week.

Centerville Land Use Map was presented to council which
Carley and Associates have drawn up. John Peterson made a
motion to approve it as the official land use map of the City
of Centerville as of March 24, 1976, Fran Burque seconded it,
motion carried.

Clerk has received bill from NSP for the light in the
telephone booth. The bill was for 48 days and amounted to
$11.73, a 30 day bill would amount to approximately $8. a
month. Consensus was to have the light removed from the booth.

On March 17, 1976, we had received letter from Rep.
Oberstar concerning the LAWCON funding.
