<br />136 <br /> <br />Clerk has been advised by the Auditor's Office in <br />Anoka that our Board of Review is set for Thursday, May <br />20 at 7:00 in the City Hall. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council that City is being sued by <br />Ed LaBossiere of the city, resulting from an accident <br />involving his wife on Mill Road earlier in the year. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council a information meeting would <br />be held on April 21 at 7:00 pm at the Centerville Elementary <br />School concerning the application by Minnesota Power and <br />Light Company for a construction permit for a high voltage <br />transmission line and associated facilities and a public <br />hearing on same to be held on May 17 at 7:00 at the <br />Centerville Elementary School. Mr. Joseph LaCasse, <br />Centerville resident, is on the power line study committee. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council Mr. Cavalier of the Centerville <br />Elementary School had requested the City of Centerville <br />to make application to the Nation's Bicentennial Communities <br />P~ogram to designate Centerville as a Bi-Centennial Community. <br />Mayor read the attached Resolution requesting same and Leon <br />L'Allier made a motion to adopt resolution, Elmer Murray <br />seconded it, motion carried. Elmer Murray made a motion <br />to appoint Mr. Thomas Cavalier, Chairperson of the Center- <br />ville Bi-centennial Committee, Fran Burque seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council Messrs. Burman and Torkildson <br />met with him and advised on proposed service road behind <br />Mound Trail residents homes, county policing and the situation <br />on the county garage. <br /> <br />Dan Tourville was in attendance and asked council to <br />purchase a monitor which the fire department had been using <br />since the first of the year and a battery pack modification <br />on another of the monitors the fire department had purchased. <br />John Peterson made a motion to purchase monitor for $180 and <br />have modifications done on other monitor for $86, Elmer Murray <br />seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Fran Burque made a motion to appoint Jerry Sundberg <br />and Bob Lindgren to Planning and Zoning Committee, Leon <br />L' Allier seconded it,:" mo tion carried. Clerk was to advise <br />by letter. <br /> <br />Signed contract with District #12 and Centerville on the <br />ballfield has been received and clerk is to submit Leon <br />L'Allier and Elmer Murray as designates from the council to <br />carry out this agreement. <br /> <br />We have been advised from North Central Public Service <br />of a decrease in rates during the months of March, April and <br />May. <br />
