<br />137 <br /> <br />Mayor informed council of a Minnesota Energy Conference <br />and Conservation Exhibit on April 14 and 15, 197h at the <br />Radisson Downtown Hotel in Minneapolis. <br /> <br />Mayor read communications from Rep. Howard Neisen, <br />Mayor Robert Benedict of Bloomington and Senator John Milton. <br />Letter was also read from Mark Houle of the First State Bank <br />of Hugo regarding Certificates of Indebtedness issued by <br />the City of Centerville, payable at $10,000 per year at a <br />rate of 6%. They would go a maximum of $50,000. Mayor <br />read letter to Mr. W. J. Mattke, Superintendent of Cen- <br />tennial Schools concerning a tornado drill held on March <br />16 at the Centerville Elementary School. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning has recommended Registered Land <br />Survey #48 be turned down at this time. Elmer Murray made <br />a motion to disapprove R.L.S. #48 as of this date, because <br />it does not meet our specifications according to Ordinance <br />15, Section 6, paragraph 11. In order to approve this plat, <br />a variance will have to be granted to parties involved, John <br />Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk read communication from Dan Tourville, Fire <br />Chief. On August 13, 1975, a copy of the Fire Department <br />Budget request was submitted to council. That request is <br />now replaced with a new request from the Fire Department <br />Committee for equipment purchases. Discussion followed. <br />The matter of a federal grant was brought up and John Peterson <br />made a motion to check into the program of federal grants <br />before any decision is made on the 1976 Fire Department <br />budget, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 10:33 pm. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Lu Prachar, Clerk-Treasurer <br />
