<br />~. ~; <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their <br />regular meeting on Wednesday, February 11, 1976 in the City <br />Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 7.00 pm. <br />Present were Burque, L'Allier, Murray, Peterson and Attorney <br />Hawkins. <br /> <br />Minutes from meetings held January 14 and 28, 1976 were <br />accepted by council. <br /> <br />Petitions and Complaints. Dogs next to Floyd LaMotte's <br />house on Main Street are creating a nuisance. Matter will be <br />taken up when the party applies for kennel license. <br /> <br />Rep. Howard Neisen appeared before council and discussed <br />Centerville sewer line, the stadium issue, land use bill and <br />bill to simplify bonding procedures for municipalities. <br /> <br />Floyd Kruger, Centerville represeDtative on the Forest <br />Lake Hospital Board, presented council with report on hospital <br />which is a part of these minutes and brought the council up <br />to date on what is currently being accomplished by the board. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council Mr. Sooger from the Centennial <br />School District had again requested a contribution from the <br />City of Centerville for the District #12 summer recreation <br />program. Leon L'Allier made a motion to donate $250 to the <br />summer recreation program, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council that a new ha.ndbook \vill,be <br />available from the League of Minnesota Municipalities at a <br />cost of $50. This is a completely revised edition ot the <br />handbook and will include four annual supplements incorporating <br />the statutory changes made during each session of the legis- <br />lature. John Peterson made a motion to order one new handbook, <br />Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter from North Suburban Sewer Service <br />Board requesting our contribution of $250 to participate <br />on this board. John Peterson made a motion to send the <br />billing back to N.S.S.S.B. informing them we are not seeking <br />membership in their organization, Fran Burque seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor read portions of two resolutions received con- <br />cerning Support of Farmers Home Administration Recindment <br />of the Moratorium of Financing New Construction in Anoka <br />County and Solicitation of Gubernatorial Support for In- <br />clusion of Anoka County in the Upper Great Lakes Regional <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor read portions of letter from the League concerning <br />formation of NLC small cities advisory council. <br /> <br />Mayor read portions of letter from Metro Council informing <br />us Anoka County had made application for federal funds to <br />accomplish projects of criminal justice career development <br />in secondary school and intake intervention program. <br />
