Leon L'Allier made a motion <br />to list the planned expenditure of $1,864. under the Environmental <br />Protection column, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk has received information letter on the L & B Tree <br />Service, Inc., which operates from 6795 20th Avenue South in <br />Hugo. <br /> <br />Mayor reminded Council of the following meetings: <br /> <br />Monday, May 17 - Centerville School - Public Hearing on <br />proposed pawer line; Friday, May 28 - City Hall - Senior <br />Citizens Day from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon; Thursday, May 20 - <br />7:00 pm, Board of Review night at the City Hall. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the ballpark. Benches were needed <br />for teams and one load of lime brought in. Mayor was to contact <br />Charley Knabe or Roy LeRoux about bringing in lime through their <br />property. Clerk was to check on satellite for field. Leon <br />informed council the sponsors for the teams from Centerville <br />were the Lions Club which had donated $50 and Sherm's Trio Inn <br />which had donated $40. <br /> <br />Police Chief Myhre brought in April police reports for Lino <br />and Centerville, a January - March period police report and an <br />up-to-date local business directory. <br /> <br />Clerk read the attached Resolution 76-8 authorizing <br />issuance of certificates of indebtedness. John Peterson made <br />a motion to approve resolution, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion <br />carried. Clerk read the attached Resolution 76-9 awarding <br />certificates of indebtedness. Elmer Murray made a motion to <br />approve resolution, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br />Clerk read the attached Resolution 76-10 making tax levy. John <br />Peterson made a motion to approve resolution, Elmer Murray <br />seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Dan Tourville, Fire Chief, reported on the Fire Department. <br />He placed on file the January through March quarterly report on <br />fires fought in Lino Lakes. He advised council that Hugo is <br />filling our air tanks for $3 a fill, the old fire track which <br />is in his barn is being cleaned up for display at the Bi-centennial <br />Day at school June 2nd, the PCA has granted the Centerville Fire <br />Department a blanket permit through 1976 for burning. <br /> <br />There was a request for placing a "No Dumping Sign" at the <br />Centerville Park. <br /> <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to pay checks #2586 - #2610 with <br />the exception of #2589, Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br />Deposits of $569.65 were noted leaving a balance of $6,514.58. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to adjourn meeting, Fran Burque <br />seconded it, motion carried.
