REPORT OF BID EVALUA T ION The fire truok oommittee has carefully evaluated the fire truck bids of the four manufacturers that offered~ bids, and the committee has made the following determinations. 10 ~ summary of the bids 1s given below which shows a breakdown of both prices and lead times for de11very. The optional item of high pressure fog 1s des1r8~e and 1s 1n the best interest of the community because of1tsf1ref1ght1n~ ab1lity. Thetise of high pressure fog results in less water damage to property because of less water use. The lack of a city water system in Centerv111e further encouraged the c9mmlttee to a preference for high pressure fog because this feature requires less w~ter to control a moder~te sized fire. 3. With all facts and information available to the oom- mittee, it 1s their preference that the high pressure fog pump be a p~s1t1ve displacement p1stonpump as was stated in the specifications. 4. Of the bids received, two manufacturers met the criteria of the specifications with three bids.
