<br />r <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular <br />meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 1977 in the City Hall. Mayor <br />Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: <br />L'Allier, Murray and Peterson. Absent: Burque. <br /> <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to accept minutes of meetings held <br />February 9 and 14,1977; John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Henry Spores of 7238 Main Street appeared before council with <br />request for a variance. John Peterson made a motion to grant <br />a variance to Ordinance 15, Section 6, paragraph 1 as regards <br />lot split on lot described as follows: Lot 13, Auditor's <br />Subdivision #47, according to the duly recorded map or plat <br />thereof on file and of record in office of the Register of Deeds <br />within and for Anoka County, Minnesda. Proposed lot size would <br />be approximately 82 x 185 feet with 17,000 square feet, Elmer <br />Murray seconded it, motion carried. Elmer Murray made a motion <br />to grant a variance to Ordinance 16, Section 6, paragraph 10 <br />on the metes and bounds description of the above lot proposed, <br />Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Robert LaMotte appeared before council with request for a variance. <br />~eon L'Allier made a motion to grant a variance to Ordinance 15, <br />Section 6, paragraph 10 on the lot described as follows: The <br />south 160 feet of the North 1089.2 feet of the East 142.8 feet <br />of the Nwt of the swt of Section 23, Township 31 North, Range <br />22 West in the Village of Centerville and subject to road rights <br />the public has acquired in the easterly 42.8 feet, subject to <br />inclusion of a minimum of 10' drainage easement along south end <br />of lot described above, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br />Variance is granted to above ordinance to allow registry of <br />existing lot described be metes and bounds description. <br /> <br />Norman Fritchie was in attendance and requested clerk to check <br />with Northwestern Bell Telephone Company system of addresses <br />for telephone bills. <br /> <br />John Kelly of 7258 Mill Road appeared before council asking <br />for some help in repairing culvert on his property and some <br />repair on Mill Road. <br /> <br />Mayor advised council Lino Lakes was thinking of having an <br />auction in May to sell some of their used equipment. They asked <br />if we would like to participate in same but council felt it was <br />not necessary. <br /> <br />Mayor advised council of letter from North Central Public Service <br />advising us of a reduction in rates to become effective with <br />bills issued during the months of February through April, 1977. <br /> <br />Mayor advised council of letter written to Rep. Oberstar <br />concerning our grant application and his reply. <br /> <br />Mayor read portions of letter from Rep. Howard Neisen concerning <br />the Resolution #3-77 and the League of Minnesota Cities bill <br />in regard to County Attorney prosecution of violations, etc., <br />which he is withdrawing as co-author. <br /> <br />City has received letter from Minnesota Department of Trans- <br />portation concerning the speed limit on Peltier Lake Drive and <br />
