r The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 1977 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: L'Allier, Murray and Peterson. Absent: Burque. Elmer Murray made a motion to accept minutes of meetings held February 9 and 14,1977; John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Henry Spores of 7238 Main Street appeared before council with request for a variance. John Peterson made a motion to grant a variance to Ordinance 15, Section 6, paragraph 1 as regards lot split on lot described as follows: Lot 13, Auditor's Subdivision #47, according to the duly recorded map or plat thereof on file and of record in office of the Register of Deeds within and for Anoka County, Minnesda. Proposed lot size would be approximately 82 x 185 feet with 17,000 square feet, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. Elmer Murray made a motion to grant a variance to Ordinance 16, Section 6, paragraph 10 on the metes and bounds description of the above lot proposed, Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. Robert LaMotte appeared before council with request for a variance. ~eon L'Allier made a motion to grant a variance to Ordinance 15, Section 6, paragraph 10 on the lot described as follows: The south 160 feet of the North 1089.2 feet of the East 142.8 feet of the Nwt of the swt of Section 23, Township 31 North, Range 22 West in the Village of Centerville and subject to road rights the public has acquired in the easterly 42.8 feet, subject to inclusion of a minimum of 10' drainage easement along south end of lot described above, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Variance is granted to above ordinance to allow registry of existing lot described be metes and bounds description. Norman Fritchie was in attendance and requested clerk to check with Northwestern Bell Telephone Company system of addresses for telephone bills. John Kelly of 7258 Mill Road appeared before council asking for some help in repairing culvert on his property and some repair on Mill Road. Mayor advised council Lino Lakes was thinking of having an auction in May to sell some of their used equipment. They asked if we would like to participate in same but council felt it was not necessary. Mayor advised council of letter from North Central Public Service advising us of a reduction in rates to become effective with bills issued during the months of February through April, 1977. Mayor advised council of letter written to Rep. Oberstar concerning our grant application and his reply. Mayor read portions of letter from Rep. Howard Neisen concerning the Resolution #3-77 and the League of Minnesota Cities bill in regard to County Attorney prosecution of violations, etc., which he is withdrawing as co-author. City has received letter from Minnesota Department of Trans- portation concerning the speed limit on Peltier Lake Drive and
