Seal Coat lJpdate John Stewart, City Engineer, gave an update of the progress of the Seal Coat Project. He advised that the roads would be pre- swept on Thursday and/or Friday of this week. The following members of the audience asked questions of the project. : Mike Davis - 7156 Brian Drive Beverly Hughes - 1793 Center Street Sorel Street/Goiffon Road Sewer Drainage John Stewart, City Engineer, updated the City Council with regard to the progress of locating the source of the sewer drainage. He advised that the drain tile had been dug up on August 1, 1991 and that there had been significant ground water. He noted that the City Council options would be to pump the area or to drain the tile. A contractor would be able to excavate a trench, extend the drain tile and would cover the trench area to drain out the drain tile area for a cost of $3,000.00. The following audience members asked questions of the Sorel Street/Goiffon Road Sewer Drainage: Beverly Hughes - 1793 Center Street Motion by Pelton, second by Wilharber that per the recommendation of the City Engineer and City Attorney, staff is authorized to take direction to proceed to accept a bid to the drain out the drain tile, to include a cost to seed, not to exceed $3,000.00, this would extend the blocked tile to daylight and include restoration, motion carried unanimously_ 1987 Street Reconstruction Proposed He-Assessment of Non- Litigants Art Mohler, 1756 Peltier Lake Drive, and Jeff Daas, 1737 Center Street, representatives of the Non-Litigates were present at the meeting. It was noted that three (3) signatures were not able to be obtained because the group could not find those persons and one (1) property owner signed the petition and would not waive his rights to appeal. Mayor Buckbee advised that he had wished the group could have gotten 100% signature on the petitions. Council member Wilharber noted that he did not feel that he was appraised fully of the issue and chose not to give an opinion at tllis t.ime.
