<br />page two <br /> <br />Data Privacy Act <br />Mayor Buckbee inquired as to whether the December 31, 1991 date <br />for completion was still on track. <br /> <br />Clerk/Administrator advised that it appeared to be on track. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Storm Sewer MaintenaD~e <br />The City Council discussed the cleaning of the ditch area in the <br />north easement area of Center Oaks I and the ditch west of <br />Centerville Road that flows to Centerville Lake. <br /> <br />The ditches had been scheduled for consideration of cleaning in <br />1992. <br /> <br />Concerns appeared to be: <br />- Obtaining permission from the property owner to access the <br />ditch west of Centerville Road. Should a permanent <br />easement be obtained? <br />Storm sewer funding available at this time. Should the <br />project be assessed. <br />Future discussions with the Center Oaks I residents. <br />Was the project essential this fall. <br />Should seed or sod be used for restoration? <br />What are the erosion control measures? <br /> <br />The cost of the project with current quotes was approximately <br />$13,500. <br /> <br />City Council comments appeared to be as follows: <br /> <br />Council member Daria - The first step is to get permission <br />from the property owners for the ditch west of <br />Centerville Road. <br />- One option could be to clean out the west end this <br />fall and look at the ditch area in the north <br />easements of Center Oaks I next spring. <br /> <br />Council member Pelton - The immediate problem appears to be <br />the Almendinger/Henderson ditch. This should <br />still be constructed this fall. <br />- Concern about addition ditch maintenance at this time <br />as no funds are yet designated. <br />- The City needs time to work out a permanent or <br />temporary easement for the ditch west of <br />Centerville Road. The City would want to continue <br />to make sure that the water flows efficiently in <br />the future. <br />- If there is future development in this are in the <br />future, by obtaining a permanent easement for the <br />
