Mayor Sweeney indicated the Lions members were out soliciting for
donations.

Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated she would love to give the money to the
Lions but the money is not in the budget. She then said she would like to look at giving
something more but the City cannot afford $20,000.

Council Member Capra indicated she has no issue with giving the $10,000 but she feels
that residents are being taxed twice if asked to pay for events at the festival.
