Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Boyum indicated he would put together a letter concerning recycling and would need <br />mailing labels from the City. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee asked Staff to place the information on the cable channel and the <br />website. <br /> <br />6. Strategic Planning Results <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney reviewed the strategic planning survey results and indicated that the <br />priorities of Council for this term are a new water tower, County Road 14 improvements, <br />water looping plan, streets, and cleaning out of ponds. He then commented that <br />Chauncey Barrett was not originally considered as a goal but the County has asked <br />whether the City would like to expand Chauncey Barrett and he feels that would be an <br />asset to the Community. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked Ms. Moore-Sykes to contact the County and indicate that <br />Council would like information on proceeding with Chauncey Barrett Phase II. <br /> <br />7. Parkview Development - Resolution #03-009 <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked if Staff was absolutely certain that this project <br />is done with no issues pending. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated he lives in the development and he, as well as some of <br />his neighbors, has water issues. He then explained what those issues are and indicated he <br />has been in contact with the developer and feels that the developer has done his job but <br />the problem has been caused by neighbors changing the grade. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that there is nothing the City can do when <br />neighbors change the grade and that becomes a civil issue between the property owners. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar asked if the Ordinance requires that the final grade by checked by <br />Staff. City Attorney Hoeft indicated that final grade is when the lot is prepared for sale <br />and prior to any foundation excavation or landscaping. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated he would like to consider adding another inspection to <br />the Ordinance prior to when sod is installed to eliminate this type of issue in upcoming <br />developments. <br /> <br />Page 7 of 15 <br />
