<br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />August 13, 2008 <br /> <br />done to her grandmother's car. Ms. Comstock made a $33 donation from her allowance <br />money. Her brother made a $17 donation. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that the Council would deposit the donations from Ms. Comstock and <br />her brother into the City's account, and then send a letter regarding Ms. Comstock's issue, <br />along with a check in the amount of the donations, to the County. Mayor Capra stated that <br />she had thanked Ms. Comstock for making an effort to change an unsafe situation. <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee stated that he was impressed that Ms. Comstock would do that. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that they would send a letter to Commissioner Sivarajah, the Council's <br />Representative for their area, with a request that they respond to Ms. Comstock. <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard-Vickers suggested that the Council also send a letter to Ms. <br />Comstock, thanking her and telling her what action was taken by the City Council. <br /> <br />Motion bv CouneD Member Broussard-Vickers. seconded bv Co_cD Member Pur. <br />to forward to Anoka Co_tv. ANNOUNCEMENTSIUPDATES <br /> <br />1. City Administrator. Mr. Dallas Larson <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the County Road discussion will take place in the <br />Work Session, following the August 13 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />2. Fete des Lacs <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that the Council would like to thank the Lions Club and others who <br />made the festival possible. <br /> <br />I <br />- ! <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee stated that there were 4 bands, and about 125-150 people there. He <br />stated that the event went over pretty well. He added that there were some amazing tricks <br />done on the skate park by Centerville kids. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra pointed out that she understood that Councilmember Paar contributed a lot of <br />his time also. <br /> <br />Councilmember Paar replied that he served beer and helped to setup on Thursday. On <br />Saturday, he was a floating guy, helped with tents, helped when some Lions needed a <br />break, etc. He added that everything went extremely well <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated she understands that it takes thousands of hours to get everything <br />organized. <br /> <br />Page 7 of9 <br /> <br />7 <br />
