He added he would like to <br />th <br />meet on October 18 and see if they are able to negotiate. <br />Mayor Capra stated she is comfortable with the meeting. <br />Council Member Lee asked if the City is moving forward with eminent domain. Mr. <br />Larson replied it would be deferred. <br /> 3. Downtown Redevelopment Planning (Update) <br />Council Member Terway stated there were definite opinions discussed during the <br />meeting; there will be controversy but the redevelopment needs to move forward. Mr. <br />Larson stated the strongest opinions given were by those who live closest to the proposed <br />development area and should be weighed heavily. <br />Council Member Lakso stated this is grant money; it is not coming out of the general <br />fund. <br />Council Member Lee stated this is a decision for the community as a whole. <br />Council Member Lakso stated the Park and Rec Commission is looking at play structures. <br />Council Member Lee stated the Police Commission talked about not getting a grant but <br />still need a back up generator. <br />Council Member Paar stated the EDC still has not met. <br />4. Correspondence <br />Mayor Capra reviewed correspondence with Council and Staff. <br />Council recessed to closed session at 9:38 p.m. <br />X. Present were Mayor Mary Capra, Council members Richard <br />Terway, Michelle Lakso, Tom Lee and Jeff Paar. Also present were Administrator Dallas Larson <br />and Jim Hoeft, City Attorney.
