City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes October 12, 2005 the City buys the lot it reduces the value of the lot next door. He added he would like to th meet on October 18 and see if they are able to negotiate. Mayor Capra stated she is comfortable with the meeting. Council Member Lee asked if the City is moving forward with eminent domain. Mr. Larson replied it would be deferred. 3. Downtown Redevelopment Planning (Update) Council Member Terway stated there were definite opinions discussed during the meeting; there will be controversy but the redevelopment needs to move forward. Mr. Larson stated the strongest opinions given were by those who live closest to the proposed development area and should be weighed heavily. Council Member Lakso stated this is grant money; it is not coming out of the general fund. Council Member Lee stated this is a decision for the community as a whole. Council Member Lakso stated the Park and Rec Commission is looking at play structures. Council Member Lee stated the Police Commission talked about not getting a grant but still need a back up generator. Council Member Paar stated the EDC still has not met. 4. Correspondence Mayor Capra reviewed correspondence with Council and Staff. Council recessed to closed session at 9:38 p.m. X. The City Council of Centerville, Minnesota met in a closed session on Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at 10:00 p.m. in City Hall. Present were Mayor Mary Capra, Council members Richard Terway, Michelle Lakso, Tom Lee and Jeff Paar. Also present were Administrator Dallas Larson and Jim Hoeft, City Attorney.
