City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />October 22, 2008 <br />2. Request for Payment -Allied Blacktop (2008 Street Seal Coat Project - $85,235 <br />(Final & Closeout <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the City Engineer recommended that the City make a <br />progress payment to Allied Blacktop of 95%, but suggested instead to approve final <br />payment and close-out as soon as final paperwork is filed. This would avoid needing to put <br />this back on the agenda and having it outstanding longer than necessary. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, seconded by Council Member Lee, to <br />approve final Payment and close-out for Allied Blacktop for the 2008 Street Seal Coat <br />Proiect, provided proper paperwork is received. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Request for Project Time Extension - A.J. Ross Concrete -Partial Pay Request for <br />the Work Completed (90%~ <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the request for the time extension is because of the <br />overwhelming demand for roofing material. Partial pay of 90% is also requested for work <br />completed to date on the project. He stated that the Staff recommends approval. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, to <br />approve the Proiect time extension and partial pay request of $21,108 (90%) for A.J. <br />Ross Concrete. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />4. CERT -Request Use of Old Public Works Building on November 10, 2008 <br />Councilmember Lakso stated that CERT is requesting the use of the Old Public Works <br />Building for training on November 10, 2008. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, to <br />aPProve CERT's request for the use of Old Public Works Building on November 10, <br />2008 for training. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br />City Administrator, Mr. Dallas Larson <br />Street Project <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the City will be receiving bids on 2009 Street <br />Project on October 29, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. <br />City Engineer Statz reported that blacktop prices had been very high, but they are starting <br />to come down.
