City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />August 10, 2005 <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that, if there is a pond or were to be a pond constructed that <br />does raise concerns, with maybe a steep bank or something of that nature then the City <br />should look at that and determine whether to fence it because the general policy is not to <br />fence. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to direct <br />Staff to send letters to residents requiring that the docks be removed within ten (10) <br />days or the City will remove them. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked Staff to review the ponds to determine if there are any that have steep <br />banks or slopes that Council should consider fencing. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway indicated he would like Council to consider Ordinance <br />language specifically requiring that the vegetation surrounding drainage ponds not be <br />mowed. <br /> <br />City Attorney Hoeft indicated that the City can control that as residents are not allowed to <br />do anything inside of an easement. He then suggested that the City educate residents on <br />requirements of drainage ponds. <br /> <br />7. Prepayment of WAC/SAC Fees Prior to Hookup – Staff Recommendation Not to <br />Accept Payment Until Connection Permit Application <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway to <br />implement not accepting payment of WAC/SAC fees until Connection Permit <br />Application. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. E.H. Renner & Sons Estimate for Variable Frequency Drive for Wells 1 and 2 <br />$25,322.00 <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that this would allow the pumps on the wells to <br />come up more gradually and eliminate wear and tear on equipment. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />the expenditure of $25,322 for Variable Frequency Drives for Wells 1 and 2 as <br />presented by Staff. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />th <br /> 9. B&R Properties, 6805 20 Avenue South – Site Plan <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed the Site Plan with Council and indicated that the <br />Planning Commission recommended approval. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />th <br />the Site Plan for B&R Properties at 6805 20 Avenue South as recommended by <br />Staff and the Planning Commission, All in favor.
