<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 12, 1992 <br />page five <br /> <br />Center Hills - Third Addition <br />Motion by Buckbee, second by Wilharber to adopt Resolution to <br />adopt the assessment roll for the Center Hills, Third Addition <br />Improvement as proposed; the assessed cost of the improvment <br />shall be $364,412.34, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />A copy of the assessment <br />Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />roll <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />on <br /> <br />file <br /> <br />with the <br /> <br />Motion by Buckbee, second by Dario to authorize the water hook up <br />charges for the Center Hills, Third Addition to be placed on the <br />individual building permits versus being placed as a direct <br />assessment to the property, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Buckbee to temporarily adjourn the <br />meeting for a short break, motion carried unanimously. Meeting <br />adjourned at 9:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Buckbee re-convened the meeting at 9:25 p.m. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Gradin~ and Drainage - Lot 1. Block 3 Peterson's Old Homestead <br />Addition <br />The Clerk/Administrator advised that the two property owners do <br />not appear to agree as to an acceptable solution to the drainage. <br />She also noted receipt of a letter from Gordon L. Jensen, <br />Attorney for Howard Bohanon Homes, in which asks that the monies <br />escrowed by Mr. Bohnanon to correct the grading/drainage between <br />Lot 1, Block 3 Peterson's Old Homestead Addition and Lot 1, Block <br />4 Centerville Heights be returned. The Clerk/Administrator <br />recommended mediation services (a free service through Anoka <br />County) at which the two property owners, Mr. Bohanon and a City <br />Representative could participate. The Clerk/Administrator further <br />advised that she had spoken to Mr. Jensen on the phone today <br />advising of the recommendation of mediation. Mr. Jensen advised <br />that mediation is not an option. <br /> <br />Motion by Dario, second Wilharber to <br />write a letter to Howard Bohanon <br />recommending mediation to resolve <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />direct the City Staff to <br />of Howard Bohanon Homes <br />this issue, motion carried <br /> <br />City Celebration <br />Motion by Buckbee, second by Dario to authorize City Staff, <br />Council member Dario and Mayor Buckbee to work with the City <br />Attorney to explore options of recovery of losses due to the <br />Minnesota Magic Midway, Inc., not performing the contract with <br />the City of Centerville and the City Staff shall send a letter to <br />the Better Business Bureau advising them of the actions of <br />
