<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 8, 1992 <br />page six <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber suggested that a map of the petitioning <br />property be included with a future petitions. <br /> <br />Storm Water Draina2e Ditch Maintenance <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Pelton that based upon the <br />recommendation of the City Engineer, the City Council approves <br />partial pay estimate for Jim Steven's Construction, Inc., in the <br />amount of $7,722.00 for work completed on the Storm Water <br />Drainage Maintenance improvements from the Center Oaks <br />Development to Centerville Lake, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber noted that the contractor should take <br />care of the brush and soil around the bank of the project. <br /> <br />Municipal Buildina <br />Al Mjorud of Mjorud Architecture was present <br />Municipal Facility. He advised that it appears <br />would have three goals: <br />1. To establish a maximum budget. <br />2. To authorize the Architect <br />construction phase of the work. <br />To establish a construction schedule <br />1992. <br /> <br />to discuss the <br />that the City <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />enter <br /> <br />into <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />to end December <br /> <br />Mr. Mjorud presented the proposed building plan. <br />the building plan is very elementary, easy <br />economical. He felt that the building could <br />within Centerville's time constraints. <br /> <br />He advised that <br />to build and <br />be constructed <br /> <br />Mayor Buckbee noted that Mr. Mjorud has done a tremendous job <br />orchestrating the municipal facility and utilizing the talents of <br />the individual Task Force members. <br /> <br />Council member Burgstahler suggested that the building estimates <br />be broken down in way in which the City can look at its financing <br />options. For example not all of the building costs are for the <br />fire hall or city hall. Other costs are for the municipal well, <br />the pump house, water extension, soil correction, etc. Council <br />member Burgstahler suggested looking at a financing as group with <br />the Financial Advisor, having a special meeting before August 20, <br />1992 to make sure all persons are comfortable in moving forward <br />with the project. It appeared to be his opinion that the City is <br />in the ball park financially and that the time frame appears to <br />be appropriate. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Buckbee to authorize Al Mjorud of <br />Mjorud Architecture to begin the construction documents with the <br />Pf@p@~@d plan pr@~@nt@d at tnil Oity Counoil me.tin.. motion <br />
