<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 21, 1992 <br />page seven <br /> <br />Clerk/Administrator Siebenaler explained that according to City <br />policy the City Hall would be closed on the day preceding <br />Christmas and New Years, however, staff would not be paid for <br />non-attendance on that day_ Staff would however be paid on a <br />pro-rated basis for the holidays of Christmas Day and New Year~s <br />Day. <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber indicated that he received a complaint <br />concerning the hours of operation of the City Hall and that the <br />complainant indicated he would like to see the City Hall open <br />from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Council member Wilharber <br />indicated to the complainant that having the City Hall open that <br />length of time would increase the cost for staff and that the <br />issue will be researched in January by the Employee Review Board. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />1. DIRT TRACK RIDERS ASSOCIATION EVENT - CENTERVILLE LAKE. <br /> <br />Clerk/Administrator Siebenaler explained that the Dirt Track <br />Riders Association is requesting to hold a race on January 30 and <br />February 1, 1993 as they have in the past. <br /> <br />Council member Burgstahler indicated that this is not his <br />favorite event for the lake, however, it has taken place in the <br />past and does not want to interfere with plans at this time. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Pelton to approve the Dirt <br />Track Riders Association#s request providing the applicant <br />contact the Circle Pines/Lexington Police Department, the <br />Centennial Fire Department, the Anoka County Sheriff and the <br />Department of Natural Resources. Motion was seconded by Council <br />member Wilharber, and upon vote, unanimously approved. <br /> <br />2. COMMON GROUND POLICE SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE - REPLACEMENT. <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber indicated that, due to a new Council <br />coming on in January, he felt that a replacement for the common <br />ground representative should be made by the new Council. Council <br />member Wilharber indicated that he would serve as an interim <br />representative until one is appointed. <br /> <br />No action was taken on this item. <br /> <br />6.3 ACORN CREEK COMMITTEE MEMBER REPLACEMENT (2). <br /> <br />Council member Pelton indicated that she would like to continue <br />on this Committee on an interim basis. <br />
