<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 27, 1992 <br />page four <br /> <br />surcharge for connection to sanitary sewer with a sump pump shall <br />be $75.00, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Munici~al Facility <br />Mayor Buckbee noted that due to the high cost estimates of the <br />municipal facility to date, it has been appropriate to search out <br />other options with regard to costs for the building and that the <br />City would like to seek a second opinion on costs and time <br />frames. After investigating other options, it appears that both <br />the budget and the time frame may be feasible with a guarantee. <br />The City Attorney would need to review such a guarantee. On June <br />8, 1992 an alternate monetary proposal may be available for <br />Council review. It may be appropriate to postpone continuing <br />work with the Mjorud Architect for the moment. . <br /> <br />Mary Jane Lang, 1559 Peltier Lake Drive, Building Task Force <br />Member, spoke briefly regarding this issue. <br /> <br />Storm Water Drainage Fee <br />Council member Burgstahler suggested utilizing a $.10 per square <br />foot charge on the building and other impermeable surfaces of the <br />lot. <br /> <br />The Clerk/Administrator noted that utilizing the calculations for <br />impermeable surfaces at $.10 per square foot may be high for <br />large parking lot users such convenience stores and grocery <br />stores. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Pelton to approve Resolution <br />#92-xx establishing Storm Sewer Fee Charges to accumulate <br />financial resources to establish and maintain a storm water <br />drainage fund within the City; AYE - Burgstahler; AYE - Dario; <br />AYE - Pelton; AYE - Wilharber; NAY - Buckbee, motion carried. <br /> <br />Lake Sanitation - Volume Based Billin~ <br />Mary Ayde, Lake Sanitation, could not be present at this meeting <br />due to illness. <br /> <br />Mayor Buckbee explained to the City Council that he does want a <br />revenue neutral volume based billing proposal and he has advised <br />Lake Sanitation that he does not want them to bury a rate <br />increase in the new volume based proposal. He noted that he felt <br />a volume based proposal and an increase in fees were two separate <br />issues and should be addressed as such. <br /> <br />Personal Ordinance Amendments <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Wilharber <br />following amendments to Ordinance #22-B, <br />establishing a uniform and equitabl. 1,lt.m <br />administration for employees of the City: <br /> <br />approve the <br />ordinance <br />ll@fiOftft@l <br />
