<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 22, 1992 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />The City Council reviewed a letter from the City Engineer dated <br />April 9, 1992 regarding said proposed improvements. A copy of <br />this letter is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />John stewart, City Engineer, was also present to address the <br />letter. Mr. Stewart advised that they had been directed by the <br />City Council to investigate the installation/construction of a <br />sidewalk area along the east side of Progress Road. Mr. Stewart <br />advised that after considering the angle of Progress Road and the <br />removal of the power poles, the Centennial School then considered <br />the re-construction of the street and the possibility of a raised <br />sidewalk as this may be more cost effective. Mr. Stewart advised <br />that Progress Road would be reconstructed to a nine (9) ton <br />specification due to the school buses. <br /> <br />Motion by Buckbee, second by Pelton to adopt Resolution 92-XX <br />ordering a Feasibility Report for the proposed improvement of <br />Progress Road/Westview Street and the installation/construction <br />of sidewalk along the east side of Progress Road contingent upon <br />the receipt of a petition from the Centennial School District for <br />said project, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Wilharber to authorize Maier, Stewart <br />and Associates to work with the Centennial School District to <br />prepare plans and specifications for a parking lot for the <br />Centerville School with the understanding that the cost of said <br />Plans and Specifications shall be borne by the Centennial School <br />District, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Gradinc/Drainace <br />and Lot 1. Block <br />Howard Bohanon <br />7164 Mill Road, <br />concerns. <br /> <br />Correction Lot 1. Block 4 Centerville Heichts <br />3 Peterson's Old Homestead Addition <br />builder on Centerville Heights and Vi Burston, <br />were present to address the grading/drainage <br /> <br />Mr. Bohanon advised that he would be agreeable to correcting the <br />grading/drainage problem but that he would not be able to do so <br />within the next seven days due to weight restrictions and the wet <br />soil conditions. He noted that he has escrowed $5,000.00 on the <br />property through the title company. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Dario to authorize City Staff to <br />issue an Occupancy Permit on Lot 1, Block 4, Centerville Heights <br />contingent upon <br />a signed agreement from the City of <br />Howard Bohanon requiring Mr. Bohanon <br />grading/drainage concerns on Lot <br />Centerville Heights and Lot 1, Block <br />Homestead Addition; <br /> <br />Centerville <br />to correct <br />1, Block <br />3 Peterson's <br /> <br />and <br />the <br />4, <br />Old <br />
