City Council Meeting Minutes
March 25, 1992
page three

Motion by Burgstahler, second by Pelton to reduce the letter of
credit for the Center Hills Second Addition from $101,389.00 to
$64,935.00, motion carried unanimously.

Municipal Facility - Architect
The City Council discussed concerns regarding the Carlstrom
Group, Architect chosen for the municipal facility project. The
City Council noted that there was been minimal contact between
the architect and the City between Task Force meetings. It
appears that the architect is not hearing what is said even when
he is in attendance at the meeting. There is concern that the
City may not be able to meet the budget proposed with the changes
reflected in the most recent plan.

It appeared to be the consensus of the City Council that unless
the Carlstrom Group were to provide an excellent product at the
Thursday, March 26, 1992 Building Task Force meeting and if it
were the recommendation of the Building Task Force, it may be in
the best interest of the City of Centerville to terminate the
contract with the Carlstrom Group.

It was also noted that the Carlstrom Group appears to be
frequently late to meetings and that not all products have been
given to the City of Centerville.

Council member Pelton noted that at the March 12, 1992 Building
Task Force meeting the Task Force made it very clear that they
were frustrated to date and that the architectural firm may not
be listening to the wants and needs of the Task Force. She noted
that the, Task Force did not forcefully express displeasure at
that meeting.

PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS

Council member Wilharber noted that he had received a phone call
from a Center Oaks II resident. The resident expressed interest
in the Clearwater Creek Flood Reduction Project. The resident
would like to see the project go through and offered his
assistance.

NEW BUSINESS

Hu~o Lions Club - Charitable Gambling Request
Jim Gondek and two other representatives of the Hugo Lions Club
were present at the meeting to discuss the charitable gambling
permit request. Mr. Gondek advised that no pull tabs would be
sold behind the bar.
