CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 9, 1992
PAGE ELEVEN

Motion by Mayor Buckbee to make payment on Pay Estimate Number
Three for the Municipal Building in the amount of $136,777.00
contingent upon receipt of appropriate lien waivers totaling 100%
of Gilbert Construction payment request Number Two. Motion was
seconded by Council member Pelton and upon vote unanimously
approved.

Mayor Buckbee introduced the request from the Fire Department to
paint the ceiling of the new fire station. Mayor Buckbee stated
that he has become aware of the possible need of additional
lighting in the parking lot and felt that the parking lot
lighting issue must be solved within the contingency fund, and if
there are monies left.

Motion by Mayor Buckbee to approve the painting of the ceiling of
the new fire station contingent upon the work being completed
within the limitations of the money remaining in the construction
fund, providing that the parking lot issue be resolved prior to
committing to the painting of the fire station ceiling. Motion
was seconded by Council member Dario and upon vote of the Council
unanimously approved.

DISCUSSION ITEM lOA. 1862 MAIN STREET DRIVEWAY ISSUE.

Council member Wilharber introduced the item and stated that at
the last Council meeting Stephen Wynn, property owner at 1862
Main Street, requested work to be done on his driveway to repair
damage done by the Contractor. Council member Wilharber stated
that a possible encroachment of the driveway on City property may
exist and that we may want to reconsider the action taken by the
City Council at the last meeting. Council member Wilharber also
questioned whether Anoka County is aware of the second driveway
entering onto County Road 14.

Motion by Council member Wilharber to schedule this item on the
next agenda, notify the property owners and contact Anoka County
concerning the second driveway. Motion was seconded by Mayor
Buckbee and upon vote of the Council unanimously approved.

DISCUSSION ITEM-ADDITIONAL ITEM 3. CITY HALL TELEPHONE ANSWERING
DURING THE AFI'ERNOONS.

Motion by Council member Wilharber that City staff should wait
with changing the policy concerning answering the phones in the
afternoons at least until January 1993 when the issue can be re-
evaluated after the new committees are formed. The motion was
seconded by Mayor Buckbee and upon vote of the Council
unanimously approved.
