<br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />NOVEMBER 11, 1992 <br />PAGE THREE <br /> <br />Mayor Buckbee asked <br />comments at this time. <br /> <br />Council Elect Helmbrecht <br />Ms. Helmbrecht had none. <br /> <br />if she had any <br /> <br />This issue will next go to the Park and Recreation Committee for <br />amendment or final approval, then to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Bids for Munici9al Well #2 <br />John Stewart, City Engineer was present to address this issue. <br />He presented a letter of recommendation regarding Bid Award Deep <br />Well Pump, Controls, Pumphouse Piping and Chemical Addition <br />Facilities dated November 9, 1992. <br /> <br />A copy of this letter is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Mr. Stewart advised the City Council that he is within his <br />original estimate for the total cost of the well. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Burgstahler <br />recommendation of the City Engineer <br />controls, pumphouse piping and chemical <br />H. The contractor requests and extension <br />in lieu of the $500 per day penalty. Mr. Stewart expressed <br />concern that the builder and the developer may seek damaged <br />because of a decrease in value of lots or the inability to sell <br />lots if the streets are not paved. He appeared to be concerned <br />that if the City were to extend the contract, the City may incur <br />some liability. <br /> <br />Due to the letter arriving today, it appeared to be the consensus <br />of the City Council to review the request at the next meeting, if <br />appropriate, with an engineering response. <br />
