CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
NOVEMBER 11, 1992
PAGE FOUR

Fete de Lacs - Carnival Litigation
Council member Dario noted a letter dated
the attorney for Skip Reinke (Minnesota
letter states that the carnival was unable
the Festival due to a murder in the family.

November 3, 1992 from
Magic Midway). The
to provide service at

Mayor Buckbee noted that prior to the murder and throughout the
process Mr. Reinke was humiliating, disrespectful and non
responsive. It should also be noted that Minnesota Magic Midway
did perform in two other Metro cities that weekend, apparently
unaffected by the death in the family.

Motion by Buckbee, second by Dario to direct the City Attorney to
write a short response to Pihlaja and Stromme, Attorneys for
Minnesota Magic Midway advising that the City Council has voted
to reject their offer of settlement as outlined in the November
3, 1992 letter, motion carried unanimously.

A copy of the above
Clerk/Administrator available
of pending litigation.

letter is
for public

on file with the
review upon resolution

Municipal Facility
Council member Pelton updated the City Council on the interior
colors of the Municipal Facility as recommended by the Building
Task Force Committee.

Motion by Pelton, second by Buckbee to authorize Milo Bennett,
Centennial Fire Chief to order a hose dryer, locker and
appliances which appear to have been included in the total cost
estimate for the municipal facility; contingent upon City staff
verifying that this was included in the total, motion carried
unanimously.

Quad Community Press
It was noted that several errors have been occurring in the Quad
Community Press regarding Centerville:
- Resolution of annexation (it actually is on hold);
- Tax increases (they should be decreasing);
- Public hearing notice printed incorrectly (has to be
rescheduled);
- Election result vote totals (inaccurate).

Motion by Burgstahler, second by Pelton to direct staff to write
a letter to the Quad Community Press pointing out the recent
misprints and factual errors;
- a response is requested;
