City Council Meeting Minutes
October 28, 1992
page seven

Motion by Buckbee, second by Wilharber that per the
recommendation of the City Engineer, the final pay
estimate to Metro Paving for the Mound Trail patch and
overlay project is approved in the amount of $4,060.10
contingent upon receipt of the following items:
1. Minnesota Department of Revenue Form IC-134.
2. Consent of Surety Company to Final Payment.
3. Certification of Payment for Labor and Materials
(Lien Waivers).
4. Executed Certificate of Substantial Completion.
motion carried unanimously.

John Stewart, City Engineer noted that the contract amount was in
the amount of $29,344.93, yet the total cost of the project was
$28,058.10.

NEW BUSINESS

Petition for Water - 7081 Brian Drive
A petition was received by 7081 Brian Drive for municipal water.

John Stewart, City Engineer advised that the service to 7061
Brian Drive appears to be feasible. Extra copper service line is
need, but should not present an operational problem. He noted
that a change order could be placed on the Ro-So Contracting,
Inc. contract for the original water extension. The shut off to
this property could be placed on the back property line.

Mr. Stewart further noted that the west side of Brian Drive could
be serviced with the construction of water lines on their back
property lines. The east side of Brian Drive could also be
serviced on their back property lines at such time that the
property adjacent develops. It would not be necessary to run a
water line underneath Brian Drive.

Motion by Burgstahler, second by Dario to accept the petition for
the service of municipal water to 7081 Brian Drive;
the cost of the assessment shall be set at $2,500;
water will be provide by a two inch service with a one inch
at the "T" as illustrated by the City Engineer at the
meeting on the blackboard;
City Engineer is directed to work toward providing water
service to 7081 Brian Drive;
City staff shall take steps to follow the appropriate
assessment procedures;
motion carried unanimously.
