<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 28, 1992 <br />page eight <br /> <br />Storm Water Mana~ement <br />John Stewart, City Engineer advised that in working with the <br />Centerville Storm Water Management Amendments, the City does have <br />the option to take back it's management authority. The authority <br />was previously given to the Rice Creek Watershed District by the <br />City. <br /> <br />It appeared to be consensus of the City Council to continue <br />utilizing the Rice Creek Watershed District as the City's Storm <br />Water Management Authority. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Municipal BuildinR - Insulation <br />The City Council referred to a letter dated October 14, 1992 from <br />Mjorud Architecture regarding an energy analysis of insulation in <br />two walls of the City Hall portion of the new municipal facility~ <br />It was noted that the extra cost would be $6,042.00. <br /> <br />The letter notes that an energy analysis has been completed and <br />that the payback for the insulation would be 30 years. <br /> <br />A copy of the above mentioned letter is on file with the <br />Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Burgstahler to not approve the <br />$6,042.00 expenditure of insulation in the City Hall portion of <br />the new municipal facility, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Acorn Creek - Subcommittee U~ate <br />Council members Pelton and Burgstahler advised audience members <br />that it appears to be the consensus of the Park and Recreation <br />Committee, Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council <br />present at the joint meeting that a neighborhood park would be <br />desirable in Acorn Creek. <br /> <br />They noted the primary concern now <br />regarding the holding pond: <br />preservation. <br /> <br />appears to <br />wet, dry, <br /> <br />be the decisions <br />location, tree <br /> <br />Council member Burgstahler advised that <br />optimize the pond, trees and park and to <br />around those items. <br /> <br />his thought is to <br />work the development <br /> <br />The Acorn Creek subcommittee will meet shortly to discuss these <br />issues to be brought back to the City Council and/or appropriate <br />Committees or Commissions. <br /> <br />t <br />
